Shenango Elementary Students had the oppurtunity to raise funds for a new playground by participating in a Fun Run! Parentered with Dude Perfect and Boosterthon, students and families were able to participate and donate through the student’s homeroom to help meet the overall goal. Our Fun Run Kick Off started on September 21st and ended with the actual Fun Run on September 29th! The Fun Run itself took place on our football field as the students ran through the coned courses that were setup. Overall, the students seemed have a blast running and supporting our school! We just can’t thank our Shenango community enough. With your help we were able to reach and exceed our goal of $14,000!!
The final amount profited from our fundraiser was…….$15,113
Thanks to your generosity, the district will be able to add this money to previously budgeted funds to help give our weathered playground a much needed facelift, making it safer for our students to play each day! In addition to our community, we would like to give a special thank you to our students for all of their handwork fundraising, our parent volunteers who helped our event day run smoothly, and our teachers and staff for promoting, tracking progress, and organizing prizes.
