Read Across America Week

Read Across America Day is Friday, March 2, 2018. To celebrate Dr.
Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America Day, Kindergarten through 6th
grade will be having some exciting activities each day the week of February
26-March 2. We hope you will help your child to participate in our fun.

Monday, February 26th : Mixed Up Monday
Wear silly, mismatched clothes!
Tuesday, February 27th : Fox In Sox Day
Wear fun socks and show them off!
Wednesday, February 28th : Read My Shirt Day
Wear a shirt with appropriate words to school.
Thursday, March 1st : Funny Hat Day
Wear your silliest hat. Please send the hat to school in your child’s book bag. We will be
wearing them throughout the day in school and we do not want them out on the buses
as they may cause a distraction.
Friday March 2nd : Pajama DEAR Day (Drop Everything And Read)
Please wear your favorite pajamas and bring a stuffed animal to read with. Please make
sure your child is wearing shoes (not slippers). Also, please be mindful of our dress code
when selecting pajamas and make sure they are weather appropriate, as your child will
be wearing them all day.

Thank you so much for all of your support. If you have any questions,
please contact your child’s teacher.
