Last night at Westminster College, Shenango had FIVE students successfully audition into the PMEA District 5 Honors Band! Approximately 900 students from Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer Counties auditioned, and approximately 120 are selected for the band. These students have been preparing professional level solos on their instruments since last spring for a 3 minute audition that took place last night. It takes an enormous amount of discipline and hard work in order to prepare for it. It is indeed an honor to be selected and they are considered the “best of the best” in our 4 county district.
