The Shenango Treble Chamber Singers will be performing next Thursday, April 7th at 3pm at the PMEA All-State Conference. For a high school ensemble, this is the pinnacle of achievement, much like winning a state championship.
This ensemble is one of only 6 high school choirs and one of only 12 total high school ensembles chosen to perform; they represent the best school ensembles in the state. This is particularly impressive, given that there are over 500 school districts in the state of Pennsylvania.
Each year, scholastic and community music ensembles submit an audition for a chance to perform at the annual PMEA Conference. The conference is attended by music educators from across Pennsylvania and is considered the premiere annual event for professional development and showcasing the work of musicians from Pennsylvania and beyond.
