Upcoming Community Events!

In July of 2016, just three years after being founded, the Shenango Community Education Foundation (SCEF) eclipsed an early milestone by having donated just over $30,000 back to the students and classrooms of Shenango Area School District.  As many of you are aware, the SCEF is a non-profit organization that coordinates community events and programs to help raise funds to support student scholarships and classroom grants.

In addition to $30,000 in scholarships and classroom grants, the SCEF has also worked collaboratively with the Shenango Township Police Department to secure a $15,000 grant through the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation to purchase and train a new STPD K9 Officer, Kalo, and has brought new STEM initiatives to the district with charitable donations from both an anonymous donor ($3,500) and Mr. Mike Buczck, Class of 1966 ($500).

The education foundation thrives off of the dedicated efforts and charitable contributions of local students, families, staff members, businesses and community members.  With this in mind, we are looking for your continued support at upcoming events, so that we can continue to expand scholarships, grants and learning opportunities for Shenango students.  Your next opportunity to support SCEF and Shenango students is by walking or running in the SCEF 5K on Saturday, September 24th or by attending the Children’s Carnival offered from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM the same morning!

Many upcoming community events can be found on the “Community Page” listed under the information tab on top, or by following this link, https://www.shenangoschools.org/information/community/

We thank you for all of your support!
